Never fished from the bank but used to hang limb lines and trotlines in the willow trees when it's high enough to be on the levee in Laplace. We caught some big arse fonky blues!

good places are around the grain elevators when the water is up. all that grain falling in the water jump starts the circle of life. catfish come in to eat whatever is eat the grain

always done it from a pirogue or kayak in trees and backwaters...
