OB Deer Hunters - Best Route to Stand? (Pic w/ art inside)

The Red X is my stand location, which is right on the edge of a creek bottom. I've got two options to get to this stand(yellow Xs will be where I can park my truck). Which one should I chose? Or is there another option I'm not seeing?
1) South entrance. It's an old logging road that is infrequently used and dead ends into hunting club property. The distance is approximately 400 yards. The problem here is that there is no trail and I feel like I make too much noise getting to and from the stand.
2) North entrance. The stand is over 800 yrds away(top yellow X) but, I feel l can get to and from the stand much more quiet. Secondly, deer AND wind will be coming in the direction of the blue arrows.

it all depends where you believe the deer are bedding. Always try to walk in with the wind in your favor. That's the biggest factor.
Don't be afraid to walk. Park 300-500 yards out and take your time

I'm fairly certain they are bedding in the short pine thicket off to the south east and work their way to the creek bottom and then filter through. The wind is primarily coming from the same direction that the deer are coming from so My stand is in the right location.
Solid advice. I'm going scouting this weekend. I'm going to give it a shot and check it out.

up the pipe line and straight across to the stand. Or in from south due SE to road up to the stand and then back W to the stand
you can always use a garden rake to clear your trail through the woods prior to season and then mark the trail well with tape.

I'd let wind choose which direction I'm walking in from.

I would definitely come in from the South if the blue lines are your wind and deer travel routes.
Clear your entry path now so when the season starts you can get in quietly.
You don't have to cut a full out trail to clear your path... just make sure there aren't any branches and vines in your way and rake the old leaves within a couple hundred yards of your stand if there are any.

I agree

I would definitely come in from the South. I don't think the noise is as big a deal as the smell you risk depositing when you walk through their path upstream from where you're hunting. Plus you can clear & mark a path prior to the season to reduce your noise. That being said I would do my trail cutting as soon as possible so you can leave the area alone when you get close to the season.

This would be my advice. Cut a trail that allows you to be quiet getting in from the south and do it sooner rather than later. Any deer with sense will pattern you walking in if you make a bunch of noise, especially if they're bedding that close. Looks like you're in the right spot but if you don't play your cards right they will just wait til dark. I would even consider leaving the truck farther down the pipeline so they don't hear it.

mornings use the top x
evenings use the bottom x

Alot of good suggestions.
Initially I would have said from the South. But then you mentioned the bedding area location. Coming from the South means you have to leave via the South route, which with the wind you say is normal blows more of your scent straight into their bedfing area. Not to mention the noise walking out and/or 4-wheeler /truck noise.
For those reasons, with the wind on the diagram, I would choose the North entry/exit.
Better yet, have both ready to go and use whichever gives the bedding area the leadt amount of your scent, as long as your set up takes into account the best scent free way into stand once your close

Have several options available and pick according to the wind

I'd cut/flag a trail from the bottom X straight across to that field. Walk the edge north (quiet and can cover ground quickly), then slip back into the woods at the corner and ease to your stand
Unless that field is planted

The travel pattern of your deer will dictate how to get to the stand. One way may be better for the morning and the other for the evening depending on their habits.

Best advice I can give is always keep the wind in yr face. I hunted Tennessee for over 25 yrs and we always played the wind. In our area of TN big bucks always travel north and south where as smaller bucks would travel east to west. Don't really know about LA since I don't hunt here. Also sitting on stand, keep yr face in the wind, your scent is blowing downwind of you. We use vanilla extract as a cover scent. Deer love sweet smells. Good luck.
