There was a 70 year old PE teacher who would call his wife from the main office every lunch hour and talk to her for the entire 45 minute break.
He had been doing this everyday since he was first hired in the 1970's. This was in 2010.
The man was a gruff bulldog at work but a pussycat on the phone to his wife. It was endearing to see/hear.
I hold him in the absolute highest of regards especially bc in those 40 years of phone calls he most likely NEVER blew kisses into the phone.

I have a project manager who could not drive a company vehicle due to some traffic violations. He and his wife would argue every morning and evening to and from the job site. It was a very uncomfortable environment to sit there and pretend like nothing was going on. I finally had to tell him to call her when he got back to the hotel because I wasn't even married to her and I was tired of her shite.
