The Expedition is lacking in features comparatively, but you don't see as many of those kinds of stories

Before we bought this, we toyed with the idea of buying an older SUV for a few years and then getting something new. Shopping used really showed me how much SUV's kept their value.

But driving Expeditions and Tahoes, I felt like the Tahoes held up much better than the Fords. Now this isn't saying anything for models since 2011. This was more like 2005ish year models being test driven 6 or 7 years later. I will have to say that a King Ranch expedition has an amazing interior.

Good luck, Robinson Brothers sells new vehicles at volume prices (like us), but makes their $ on used, so if you get them to move even a $1,000, you are lucky.

I just took in a 2009 Yukon from my neighbor 2 weekends ago. Has 105k miles, family vehicles, but he took care of the maintence on it. Were asking $20995 but I can work on it, if you are interested. Email under my profile

We had a 2003 Expedition that seemed to have some of the same problems some listed here with Tahoes/Suburbans. Engine and transmission were great, but lots of problem with electronics and components. It had 247,000 miles on it when we traded it in, and the engine was still great. But man, that interior was both beat to hell, and lots of stuff just nor working properly.

We also had a 99 Expedition that was probably the best car I've ever owned. Never had any trouble with it all the way up to 260,000 miles when the fly wheel went bad.
