Yea, well once again I'm correct and it's lost in the noise. IDGAF. Do what y'all want. I'm 100% spot-on though.

If you drink 18 year old scotch and you bring over a bottle (note: my wife nor I drink that) you're supposed to open it and have some. Why on earth would you drink the Kettle One my wife likes, or the Makers I like, when there's a perfectly good bottle of what you like sitting right there? It's literally for you, you brought it so it'd be here next time you came, what's a better time then now?

Whatever you have to tell yourself.

What makes you think the party is about you? That's a bit selfish.

So, you go to this party and bring alcohol to leave at this person's house so that you can drink it when you go over in future instances? The person who owns the house is not supposed to drink the alcohol left behind?

I'm just trying to understand this, I've only heard of this type of party in passing.

It's stock the bar, not bring what you're gonna drink tonight. I don't understand what's hard to get about "stock the bar." Seems pretty painfully straightforward.
