MillerCoors has just announced the "Wisconsin Pak" which will be on store shelves in Wisconsin only beginning August 1. The Wisconsin Pak contains 60 - 12 oz. cans of Coors Light. The reason for the new packaging is that Coors Light recently overtook Bud Light as the #1 selling beer in the state. When asked if the 60 can packaging will be offered in other states; MillerCoors noted, "Collectively no other state drinks beer like Wisconsinites and the beer would be on the shelf too long. By comparison, the Wisconsin consumer will drink a 60-pack in little more than a week." On Wisconsin!!

They also don't know how to wear t-shirts with any sleeves on them so I'm not sure the beer things is supposed to be a brag or not.

Exactly - Coors Light and a number of Wisconsin local breweries will make for a great tailgate. Geaux Tigers.

Not going to lie, 60 beers in a week is a ton. The average beer drinker drinks that much in Wisconsin?

I won't drink if Coor's light or a Miller Lite are the only things available.

I'm not even buying a six pack of Colorado Kool-Aid, and they want me to buy sixty? Nah I'll stick with something better. (And isn't this whole thing to celebrate that they beat out Bud Lite? Is that really an accomplishment?)

And it may even be true that Wisconsin drinks more beer, but do they drink more overall? Can they handle the liquor?

Eh? It's a little under 9 a day. If you figure a little heavier on the weekends, not that bad.

Now what may be scary is that is the AVERAGE. For the guy who just drinks the case over the course of a weekend....there is someone else drinking 4 cases a week.

I know a whole hell of a lot of people in Wisconsin. They drink beer like no other I have seen. I would say we drink a lot more hard alcohol.
