get a 9mm in each. both are fine guns

if i were buying two guns to stay in my house, I'd go with the full size M&P9 and an HK VP9

Why not get the same gun so the person could learn how to use the one and then know how to ise the other?

I recently went with the wife and bought the Springdfield XD 4" 9mm (my first pistol). It was her first time ever shooting a gun and she did great. I'm looking to get my LTC here in Texas soon and will probably get a compact, either S&W or Glock.

I have the LCR for quick access and ease of use.

I would try to talk her into the sig in the sub size to consolidate on mags. I don't mind the mps but the p320 trigger is light years better.
