Eh, the celebration didn't bother me. I can understand being excited about tying it up after being 3-0 down. I also don't think him not celebrating would've made a difference in the outcome.
And you're absolutely right about Lucas, he should get more game time. a lot more. I think we should try out a 2 striker system with either Alexis-Lucas or Giroud-Lucas with Alexis playing slightly behind them

Pitiful stoppage time play against ten men. Not only did we not come close to scoring the winner, we almost gave it back.
Comeback or not, short rest or not, this was a total failure and still a big blow to our title hopes, brought about by a mentally weak effort.

We actually need Walcott back on the right. We aren't getting nearly enough width.

But yes, why the frick did they blow the whistle right at 96:00 when we had possession?

I'm beginning to worry about Iwobi. Hector should take most of the blame today but Iwobi did nothing to help. Earlier this season when Iwobi was on the left Monreal was constantly getting hung out to dry. I'm not sure if it's his work rate or if he lacks understanding when it comes to defense. Perez always looks a threat. He needs to play more.

I was actually fine with the ref blowing the final whistle when he did. I don't mean that there shouldn't have been more time due to the goal, but if the right call was to do it at 96, then it was fine. Cech and Xhaka both should have launched it as soon as they got the ball at their feet. He blew it dead when Xhaka was 10 yards inside the Bournemouth half.

I wanted to kill Giroud when we was celebrating that goal. A point isn't good enough bro.
Also, if Xhaka's foul is a penalty then hector was fouled on their third.
At least our title hopes are dashed early. No spring let down this year.

This was my sentiment on the previous page. That's a two goal swing. Two goals! My gosh, that's not very good from Oliver.

Then again, if we go dominate mid table teams like we are supposed to as a "title contender" then none of this really matters.

Are you assholes actually complaining about that result today? I put down the best dog a person could ever have, and no team has ever done what we did. Chelsea will fade a bit, get yo Jimmies straight.

But dropped two
Sorry about the dog. Your optimism toward Arsenal is all the more inspiring. I'll feel bette if Chelsea drop points tomorrow.

The same basic problems have been here for the last four years. I don't think Wenger is going to realize that a defensive framework will give the team a chance to succeed offensively too. Honestly we would be in the thick of the title race if not for Chelsea's amazing form, form which is predicated on superb defensive positioning.
I'm going to miss him, but it might be wise for Wenger to leave this summer. The game hasn't passed him by, but he just refuses to give a defensive structure which compliments the offensive game. He's tactically stubborn, and either goes to the low block game or the high block game without any moderation in between. There are other ways to play. In Chelsea's case, it is a game predicated by the correct spacing between the midfield and defense, which allow the ball to be won higher up the field so that their relatively weak defenders are never exposed one on one. I'd argue that man for man we have superb defenders, but even that superb defending can't overcome shitty positioning.

Come now, Glassman, this was not a "thrilling" or "exciting" match.
For an ostensibly world class club, "thrilling" and "exciting" are reserved for Chelsea, Bayern, etc.
This was Bournemouth for crying out loud, a club we're supposed to steamroll.
And my condolences about your dog.

Well, Spurs did us and everyone else a favor. Chelsea have a tricky spell of matches coming up. Leicester and Liverpool before us. We must get hot now.
Bad news is it sounds like Perez injured his ankle. And we have two fit CMs in Ramsey and Xhaka. We will finally see if that partnership works.
He's been getting a lot of shite, but I think Ramsey is close to finding form. He's getting and dangerous positions again, and just missing putting the ball in the back of the net.

Whelp Coq is out for around a month.
That's 2 DM's we won't have back until around the Chelsea game, so do we finally use the Xhaka-Rambo midfield?

Honestly, do other PL clubs have the rash of key players injured for extended periods that we do?
A key player comes off the field with a slight limp that looks minor and he's out for two months. Rinse and repeat.

And I don't have much use for the funky chickens, but thanks to them for showing that Chelsea may be halfway-human this season after all.
