Why would the story be swept away?

When this a-hole gets to jail he will probably be with numerous people he already knows. Those and other prisoners will not look down upon him or want to kill him as the poster suggested.

If he gets the death penalty he will be on death row for 20 plus years waiting on appeals.

Yes and no. Most of the guys he will be in with grew up pillaging. They had nothing. This kid is an anomaly. He came from an upper middle home in an upper middle neighborhood.

That being said, a lot of crime originated from that address, from many different people. It is odd.

The other prisoners will not respect a kid who had it all and wasted his life. Whether they will beat him down remains to be seen.

Update - Kenner Police will have a press conference at 10:30 to address new arrests/suspects in the case and to talk about motives.

(I'll be working and probably won't be able to update with link)

If he was a pitbull and bit the girl he would already have been put down, instead he gets to live off the taxpayers the rest of his life. A bullet to the back of the head is what he needs.

I worked in a California prison and seen how things worked before I was hired by a police dept. The pay was very low and not worth messing with the older inmates who basically kept their crews in line.

A lot of the lifers especially the older ones rule the roost. They frown upon rapist, people who kill children, and middle class want to be thugs who kill women.

When someone like this came into general population we had to really watch the floor. Some shifts just walked away to keep the peace and let the lifers do their thing.

Until I worked in a prison I did not think these guys knew a lot about the cherries. After I worked in one I found out these guys had more information than I wanted to know about the cherries.

Things may have changed since the 1980's pre cameras in every single space.
Back then this was how things rolled and I learned not to upset the older lifers.

Well, he wasn't a murderer when they hired him.

Thank goodness for his father. Unfortunately, he did raise a piece of shite son but he turned him in. Good for him.

From Press Conference:

Someone turned themselves in; said he agreed to participated in a robbery, not a homicide; he was the driver

Every planned this over a month ago

unknown female suspect still missing

8 stab wounds; 1 through and through her aorta

Every approached them by dumpster and forced them back towards doors

Friloux didnt want to open the door; she was stabbed

unlocked the door and safe

She was stabbed again as she laid motionless on the floor

3 suspects in custody; 2 are former employees

they have footage of all of it

she refused to unlock the door, they stabbed her, she unlocked door and safe, collapsed on back, one suspect fled and the other stabbed her again multiple times

the door had a keypad

one of the suspect's fathers made his son turn himself in

supposedly Every was sitting in the parking lot the night before the crime, casing it

supposedly Every had issues with a certain "type" of person

both suspects just completed probation for trying to break into a gamespot in 2012

their full plans for the robbery were on the cell phones recovered

the driver has been charged with Murder 1 as well

the safe had $1000 in it

and what on the ever-living earth does this mean? he's a racist and/or sexist? does that make this a hate crime?

ETA 2:

under Louisiana law I'm pretty sure everyone associated with this crime can be charged with 1st degree murder... though I'm sure the attorneys for the other suspects will try to plea down to lesser charges and turn state's witness against the actual murderer

He said is didn't know if it meant he hated white people or women but they would look into it. If they felt like they could prove, it would fall under hate crime statutes. "You get the money you and you're fleeing the store and you stop and stab (more) ... there's something more to it"

some certain poster earlier told me this couldn't be a possible motive.

Many are more home in prison than on the street. Prison isn't a deterrent for many of these people.

yes... everyone involved in the commission of the robbery can be charged with murder 1 under Louisiana law (I believe that's the case in most of the more conservative states)

ETA: but as I said earlier I'd fully expect the attorneys for the other defendants to try to get them to plea guilty to a lesser charge and turn state's evidence
