Late night thoughts:
-This Yaya deal is hilarious. Seluk is a joke and making an even bigger arse out of himself and Yaya. Yaya has said nothing during this whole deal which makes it even worse. Pep has unzipped his pants and laid it on the table and I'm loving it. I appreciate everything Yaya has done. CRUCIAL player of the team. I honestly thought he could be a part of Pep's squad this year if he applied himself. It appears that won't happen.
-Pep's handling of the media is hilarious, especially after Mancini and Pellers. "*rub head* what the frick" is hilarious.
-I can't believe what I'm seeing with this team. I was honestly skeptical of Pep. I always knew he was good but wow...we're playing beautifully. He has revived Kolarov too. Everyone (myself included TBH) thought this was a squad that needed overhauling. Instead, he shipped a few guys out, brought in some decent players (even though they aren't 100% locks for our best XI), and infused some youth. We started Angelino, Nacho, Sane, and Garcia today. Under Pellers we might see Garcia as a late sub.
-MY BOY JOHN STONES. What a great signing so far. He has had his poor moments but he is FAR better than what I expected. I wanted to either sign Laporte or hold what we had. Stones (so far) has proven me wrong.
-Bring on United. The way we're playing has me scared of nobody. We may lose, but I don't see this squad totally folding in any match against any opponent.
-KDB is a god. Another played I was somewhat skeptical about proving me wrong.

Make sure you pick up a half & half scarf for your boy
I'm embarrassed to say I actually have one. An old friend in Manchester sent me one a couple years ago. I'd imagine the average English fan looks at those things and thinks they are so stupid the only thing to do with them is send one to a dumb American.

Same.
The match should be interesting.
I believe it's right in the middle of tough stretches for both sides.

sweet, hopefully we get to see all of the fancy products coming out of the famed united academy.

I believe United's schedule has them playing:
Liverpool
Fenerbache
Chelsea
City
Then City's schedule has us playing:
19-Oct Barca away
23-Oct Southhampton at home
26-Oct United away
29-Oct West Brom away
1-Nov Barca at home

A little less awesome today.
But last year that's a loss.

Yup.
Sterling and KDB weren't great today, but Sterling made up for it with that splendid late goal.
Everyone was somewhat a bit off, but like you said, that's a loss last year.

I thought Sterling was great all game. One of the few players who looked ready from the start. KDB played himself into the game, but he even dribbled the ball out of bounds in the first half. Wasn't a great game for him.
Now he's out for like 4 weeks though BC of his hamstring. It'll be a tough test for the team. The team hasn't looked great without him.

You just knew he was going to bag one. He wasn't perfect, but he played well IMO.
Nobody really looked solid yesterday. The good part is that we looked poor and STILL bagged three goals and three points on the road. We would have lost that game last season.

Word is that Sterling will fill KDB's void.
So hopefully this allows Sane a chance to snatch that RW role over Navas. Even if Jesus or Sane comes off the bench, that's still solid.

so if KDB is out for four weeks, then he will be out until southampton on 10/23. i would (obviously) really have like to have had him on the road at barca on 10/19. here's to hoping this thing heals quickly.
Posted on 9/26/16 at 10:45 am to theOG
Ya im praying he's back for barca.

I don't think Pep meant positionally, just "he's the guy to be our focal point".
Sterling can't play KDB's role.
