If it weren't for it being a charity event, it might not have ever happened. Plant doesn't care anything about doing it again.

I remember Roger Daltrey, I think it was, saying in an interview with Howard Stern that he pridefully considered his voice to be his instrument, and that was his musical contribution to The Who.
I think that Robert Plant understands that his instrument isn't what it used to be and would rather not have it affect the band's legacy. I know he performs some of them solo, but as long as he's doing that without Jimmy and John Paul, it doesn't affect the legacy.
