So the loggers that we lease our hunting land from have decided that we need to dig up all septic tanks at our campsite (roughly 10 small camps). I think most camps have a 55 gallon tank. What's the best way to go about this? Excavator, bobcat, etc. If anyone knows someone around the Hammond/Independence area that does this kind of work, that would be helpful as well. TIA

Have a certified pumper pump tanks down. Use a backhoe to dig up and remove them.

If they're like us, they won't ever check. I send out all kind of bull shite rules to hunting clubs that I have no intention of ever checking to see if they're followed. Just a cover your arse kind of deal a lot of times. As long as you send the completed lease and accompanying dues in on time and don't call and bug them all the time, most likely nothing will ever come of it. A lot of Lessees don't realize how insignificant hunting leases are in the grand scheme of land ownership/management.
