This is nuts. Just as nuts as making an open air stadium in Texas.

You fricking ROAST in the outfield and down the 3rd base line.

Some people are just pussies. I've watch many games at the ballpark and it isn't any hotter than the Cotton Bowl, Kyle Field, DKR or any other outdoor stadium in Texas.

I mean I'd easily pay an additional $10 per game ticket for my two season tickets if it meant I got to sit in A/C.

I mean my seats are in the shade in RF, but it still gets pretty freaking hot out there.

You realize football starts at the end of summer and heat is only an issue for maybe 2 games a season?

These are terrible comparisons. This isn't football being played here. No games get played in the Cotton Bowl, Kyle Field or DKR in June, July or August. Globe Life is miserable in 95+ degree weather. We use a suite down the third base line that is no less than 120+ degrees in the seating area during July and August. It's a concrete oven. Left field mids and uppers are absolutely empty in the heat of the summer.

People are not pussies for not wanting to sit in that type of heat for 4 hours. You and I can do it, but families with small children or elderly members are truly in harms way in that type of heat. These are the types that attend baseball games....families. And, we're not talking about catching a few games a year. Baseball is 80+ games at home....not just one football game in early September that's brutal. In order to put butts in those seats consistently throughout the entire season, a roof or some type of heat barrier is needed in Arlington. The attendance is obviously negatively affected by the heat...no question about it.

A roof should have been a part of Globe Life from the beginning and this whole mess could have been avoided. It's a damn nice stadium...I've been in every area of the stadium from the underground areas to the press boxes. It's beyond me how they can't make this stadium work for way less money.
