I said all along they should just rush in. A guy like this shouldn't have much leverage in a hostage situation after he's already shot up a ridiculous amount of people

The problem is,that might be exactly his plan. Draw a ton of police,EMTs. Firefighters,whatever,then explode a device.
If I am going to do some damage, that's how I would do it.

Damn. Woke up to this news. Crazy that it's only a few minutes from where me and most of my family live.
Definitely can't let your guard down these days. Never know when some crazy frick goes on a rampage like this.
Not to take away from the tragedy but politicians on both sides will use this as political fodder. Which sucks because you can't fix crazy dudes with bombs strapped to themselves.
