Chief says: at 0202 officer was at pulse, responded to shots fired. he engaged in a gun battle with the susp. susp went inside the club where shots were fired. turned into a hostage situation. at 0500 the decision was made to rescue hostages. swat went in, shot suspect. was carrying assault rifle and handgun, had a device. currently checking the area for devices. multiple people dead inside. at least 42 transported to hospitals.

I don't want to jump to conclusions but multiple weapons, "devices", crowded target rich environment makes it sound like Paris on a much smaller scale. Apprehensive to totally buy it because as far as we know it was a single shooter.

Of course they are. I stand by statement,this person was a regular at that club,or at least an employee.
Stuff went on a while,he/she did a lot of damage,it was an extremely emotional thing.
