I'm a student. I have a $1000 credit card bill due in a week. Hence the need for cash. I can pay it, but $550 is better right now than buying things at WalMart.

Seems like you either 1) Have a problem that isn't really a problem since you can pay it. 2) Or you have some bad planning.

If you can swing the bill, just do it and save yourself the headache.

You can't use the reward points to pay your balance?

Find a buddy trying to buy a TV, go with him and buy it for him and take cash.

Or if really desperate find someone at Walmart shopping for a TV/electronics and explain your situation, buy it for them or put up 600 of cost and I don't think they will have a problem paying you.

Is your name on the gift card?
