Its the way most sports fans deal with adversity in the face of defeat. Higgest of highs while up, lowst of lows when down. Nothing new and very normal. Definitely not isolated to just LSU sports/tiger rant. Its every fan base of every sport at every level. Common knowledge which is why your question seems a bit retarded.

I credit the "rally possum".

Not the actual critter, but the combination of it all: very improbable comeback (shows you can do it), followed by the run (shows you can get on a win streak, including playing toe-to-toe with #1 Florida), coupled with a light-hearted, silly good luck charm.

As of now, you can fall behind, opposing pitcher is dominating, and you can say "rally possum has this, no worries". It will loosen you up with a laugh, and also remind/reinforce that you are never really out of it, and quite capable of coming back. And being loose and confident is probably at least as important in baseball as being talented.

The team won, going to Supers and hopefully Omaha. This doesn't change the fact that Paul does act like an arse, acts petulant and vindictively; which in turn tends to causes teams to play tight and afraid of making mistakes and dealing with the above mentioned instead of making plays, especially a team that is inexperienced and is learning along the way.
Teams experienced and inexperienced get mentally worn down by this unnecessary behavior. Emotional, excited, chew a butt with mistakes - ok; he can't let it go and is excessive.

All that I replied to, I will give him credit for being a part of the reason for the success of where this team is right now. Especially, adjusting the line-up - Kramer at short, Freeman at 2nd, Reid at 3rd, putting Pap back at catcher.

Nope. Still tight with PM in control.
Another postseason choke and fail.
