Started with Sea World and now this gorilla incident. It seems caged animals are going to be a thing of the past.

Sucks because a lot of animals can only survive in zoos

I agree.

That's why I've been opposed to the proposal to move the BR zoo downtown. I can see zoos getting serious pressure to close in the next decade. No sense in relocating now.

Good.

Get off your arse and get in the woods. Get on the water. Travel.

Or stay in your trailer park and watch documentaries, but one less place to interact with dregs and poors and their snot nosed kids.

The gorilla incident seems like negligence on the parents part.

Breaking News:

My wife (no pics) and I took our two little Breadsticks to the Anchorage Zoo and neither one of them wound up inside an exhibit.

Perhaps the dancing banana is in poor taste but screw it.

Zoo have serve their purposes. Back in the days, many people do not know what animal look like. Even on the shitty T.Vs you don't. So you go to the zoo and you see the exotic animals for the first time. You know, get a bit of worldly knowledge.

Now a days, with the internet, people can just look up the animals online.

Circuses too, they are stopping with live animals as it is.

Zoos and conservation parks may be around another 50+ years but Circuses and aquatic parks will be a memory by the time the millennials are grandparents.

This is just another example of how profoundly ignorant liberals have become. Without zoos, many species of animals will quickly become extinct. Additionally, the provide a secondary function of the education.
