Gros usually has a band or DJ on the weekends. They often cook a big pot of Jambalaya or something like that for guest. Its been a while since I've been, but everything use to be outside on 4mile bAyou. The store sells beer, daiquiri, and mix drinks. Not a bad place to check out

River Rat's on the Amite has changed hands again. Now it's the "old river bar". Pretty much sucks. They took out the stripper pole.
