Ok queers I know that quote so thanks for contributing nothing to the thread. I can hit a 2 iron just fine so I'm wondering if the 1 is worth it. I would be pretty much for bragging rights on the course ..... Ya know what just forget it

Let's be honest, no need for a 1 iron today.

Personally I love a 1 iron. Would much rather that than a hybrid of any sort.

If you have a swing that naturally hits a higher shot it should be no issue. Heck. I play rounds with 1 or 2 iron off the tee.

I used to carry one but it was awhile ago and I could hit it pretty good. IF you're serious here's my recommendation: try & find an old Wilson Staff 1 or 2 iron from about 25 or 30 yrs back to practice with; the sweet spot on that thing is the size of green pea. IF you can hit that thing fairly straight & solid, then get a 1 iron.

Maybe you can use it to chip in the fairway when you're in the trees.

Don't listen to the pussies. Be a man and get the 1.

And make sure it's a blade, none of this weak arse cavity back shite.

Get a driving iron or 2iron. Had a ping eye2 1i and it was too inconsistent.

What you going to take out of your bag? I would rather have another scoring club...like an extra wedge.

I can actually swing the 1 very well.

It's the other clubs I can't swing worth a damn.

No, because there are other clubs I could use to get the same benefit, minus the risk. Getting a 1-iron is stupid.

I used to have an older Ping 1-Iron. I was very consistent with it and could hit it about 240-250 off the box. I didn't even carry a driver for about 2 years after the shaft in my old Titleist 975J broke.

I eventually replaced my driver and I replaced the 1-Iron with an 18° 5-wood. The 5-wood is a little more versatile for me. I can move it better and get a higher shot trajectory with it.

It's like trying to hit a golf ball with a hickey stick. What point does a 1 serve?
