My wife is 5'2" and gained 7 pounds by her 27 week checkup. Gained 22 pounds for the entire pregnancy
Son was born at 8lbs 5 oz(95th percentile)
21.4 inches long (95th percentile)
You don't have to put on a lot of weight at the 6 month mark

Exactly. A woman at work did this same thing. She was so proud that she didn't show even late in the pregnancy. Her husband would sneak candy bars in her lunch but she didn't eat them.
She spent the last month of her pregnancy in bed on doctor's orders after a trip to the ER and a hospital stay. The body was giving the baby what it needed to survive and she just didn't eat enough for two healthy beings. The baby was born with complications and undersized but getting out of that womb was a blessing for the kid.

Disturbing. Pregnant women are usually beautiful but that chick doesn't look at all like she's expecting.

Yeah, that picture posted later in this thread doesn't look that bad. She looks on the smaller side for 6 months, but nothing absolutely insane. From this point forward the growth really shows.
What's unhealthy is when people try to not gain the weight. Yes you shouldn't gain unnecessary weight, but I've heard of women basically dieting during their pregnancy to not deal with the baby weight. That's not good. Being active the way you were is okay to a point. But don't eat a diet meant to keep your body fat down. Now's not a time for that. As long as she's eating healthy, I don't see what the big deal is. Other than her being a huge slUT for posting pictures in her undies all over the Web while her kid is inside of her. Could you imagine if you found pictures of your mom attention whoring it up like that? I mean I hate to complain because titties, but some people.

Yeah this will prob affect the baby more long term than her skinny pregnancy. Esp if she has a boy and his friends find these pics of his mom lol

Most of you are mad because your wives probabably blew up when you had your little bastards. Nothing wrong with only gaining 15 lbs or so during the pregnancy, she is only 6 months in that first picture, and has definitely gained several lbs. she is perfectly healthy, and a goal that all these fat cows should look up.

Scruffy isn't sure if it is jealousy or not. He hopes it isn't jealousy because most of the people on here are guys.
People in this thread need to heed some advice here, don't comment about a topic if you know very little about the biology behind it. Basing opinions off of anecdotal evidence and what you've heard in passing isn't a good thing.
The doctors have cleared her child. Everyone saying she is doing something wrong is apparently wrong.

She will gain 15 or so in the next 4-5 weeks as the baby actually grows bigger than a small tomato.
My wife is a thin woman and did not gain more than 10 lbs or so until the third trimester. I think she gained less than 25 lbs total both times. Lost it all in less than a month.
Most women fatten up early for fun.
Not biology.
Simmer down people.
