Does my employer have no business in disciplining me if I get a DUI? I didn't gain a competitive advantage by driving drunk. It's purely just an illegal thing.
Eta: yes I know it's not apples to apples, but it's not too attenuated

His employer was not the NCAA.
So should LSU went on probation when Cecil Collins was walking around girls houses uninvited? No they should not have as it was a legal issue, not a NCAA issue

Without a morality clause or other policy specifically spelled out in your contract, I would say theoretically no as long as it doesn't impact your work.
It's irrelevant though seeing as the NCAA wasn't his employer, PENN STATE WAS.
