My PawPaw was a commercial trawler. They would stay out till they filled the hole or were running low on fuel, sometimes up to a week. Ice them down hard (ice-shrimp-ice-shrimp) then add some water, let the water drain then add a little more ice, they will be good and cold and will last up to a week or more.

I've worked on a shrimp boat before.

Do what CHEDBALLZ said.

Do this and you will be fine. You want a slush.

Thanks. Used your method, they seem to be staying real cold so far. The shrimp were on the dock at 11 and I had them in my ice chest chilling at 330 pm.
