This movie was awesome and definitely one of the GOAT comic book movies I've ever seen. It had heart, it had color, it had joy, it had a soul. But it also had a very serious and thought provoking plot complete with themes that viewers can appreciate and understand easily and it still did a fantastic job of keeping in character with everybody.

I can't wait to see it again.

This Spider Man has tons of potential. He was cracking a lot of jokes left and right and acting like Spidey really would. The original spidey with Tobey Maguire cracked like maybe one joke throughout the entire trilogy and he was serious in those movies. This one is going to really nail the character. I also loved the a hot aunt may as that's a refreshing take from the usual old lady aunt may.

While Iron Man is pretty cool to watch, Cap is easily my favorite Avenger of them all and he is what a leader is supposed to be and what men is supposed to be like. He reminds me so much of what Superman is supposed to be like over in the DC universe.

The airport fight scene was fun to watch but that last fight scene was what really hit home to me as there was an emotional component to it and you could really feel the rage and desperation coming out of all three of them and it was tough to watch.

Such a satisfying movie to watch.

Just got back and WOW. Scratching my head as to how Marvel continues to just kill and DC just can't seem to do better than "meh".

Spiderman was awesome and I can't wait until his movie.

I was crossing my fingers for a GIANT surprise out of AntMan and he "rose" to the occasion.

My favorite MCU movie to date

I just lifted this from the previous thread and put it here since we got this now.

Once we got to this sequence, at no point did I believe Tony or Steve would kill one another, but the way the fight played out I began to doubt that a little.

Every blow even scared me bit towards the end. I was even convinced that Tony would have resorted to murder.

Best Avengers movie so far. Much better flow than the Whedon movies (even with Spider-Man forced in and out).

Strong performances except for Wanda (and ScarJo can't make it through these things without a wooden line or two).

The early fight scenes were too shaky. The hero on hero battle royale was done fairly well though. Tough to have Wanda and Vision in there and not make the fight all about their powers.

Plot was a bit convoluted with all of the "Team Winter Soldier" stuff just being a ruse to get the three of them in one place. Much easier ways to accomplish that.

Not sure why they wasted the Zemo name on that villain. The look of the original Zemo was so awesome and classic. Now he's just your average villain.

Panther is a nice addition.

Hopefully the Infinity War movies will have these characters as a team instead of the infighting that we've had in every Avengers movie.

They should really give The Vision his own movie. He's by far the most interesting character on the team and his powers are visually amazing.

Really not a fan of Spider-Man being such a sidekick to Iron Man. Hopefully that dynamic disappears with the Spider-Man movies. God Aunt May is young.

The mid and end-credits scenes were okay. The Stan Lee cameo was nothing.

It worked really well for such a long movie. The Russos are definitely the best thing that Marvel has going for them.

Thought it was great. I was really impressed with the way all the characters were juggled and none of them seemed left out or overshadowed.

I wasn't crazy about Joe Blow from Sokovia being able to successfully pull off such a complex plot against the Avengers but I just found out that he is supposed to be one of Captain America's big villains.

And even if he wasn't I still liked the way it showed how vulnerable and divided the Avengers were over the Sokovia Accords

Easily the best Marvel film to date and left me speechless. I'll be seeing it two more times this weekend, tomorrow night and again on Sunday.

Civil War is a better Avengers movie than Age of Ultron, but as a Captain America movie, it's not as good as Winter Soldier.

Very solid movie. Glad this movie didn't end with them kissing and making up. Villain was lacking but I liked how just a nonenhanced person was able to help disassemble the Avengers. Really looking forward to the Black Panther movie and Spider-Man: Homecoming. As someone said earlier it's a better Avangers movie than Age of Ultron, but this is the 2nd best Captain America movie.

I WANT A FULL FEATURE SPIDER-MAN MOVIE WITH THIS SPIDEY NOW.

Seriously. Tobey Maguire was good as Spider-Man in the first two films, but Spider-Man 3 and the Amazing Spider-Man films were shite. He stole the show.

Note: last MCU movie I saw was Iron Man 3, definitely gonna watch the others now. Loved Ant Man.

The highest praise I can ever give any movie is my willingness to pay to see it again in a theater.

I will see Captain America Civil War again.

In a theater.

Tomorrow.

It is that good.

I didn't hate BvS but this movie kind of made me hate it. The way it flowed together and the build up of tension for the last fight really exposed BvS to me.

I was surprised by Falcon. He has always been a little lame in my book but the way he was gadgeted up in this one made him great in the fights and he was also really funny.

As everyone said, Spiderman was so good. Even the way he delivered his lines were absolute perfection. I am assuming we don't get to see an origin movie for this Spiderman. Thank the lord!

Rudd is the freaking man. "Does anybody have any orange wedges!!!"

I just can't get over the action sequences. Simply jaw dropping.

Young Tony stark was a cool effect as well. It really looked real.

I just got out a bit ago and wow. This movie was great. I took my mom as a Mother's Day deal. She is not a comic book fan, just enjoys movies, and she liked it.

As a comic book nerd, I loved it. I want to see it a dozen more times.

I swore they were going to kill off Cap at the end and that be what causes the Avengers to come back together, but it seems like the team will still be fractured in future movies. It will be interesting to see how they bring them all together to get over their differences.

I hope they make use of Zemo being alive in another movie because I really want to see him mess some shite up. He is a great character but it felt like they wasted him in this. If this is the extent we will see Zemo, than I would have rather they used some other random Cap villain. Now with that said, I don't think the villain was as bad as others have said. He certainly was not throw away. He's the one that kept everything moving in a certain direction. You could see him pulling strings throughout the movie. The main problem is that he is named Zemo and we expect something bigger from one of the bigger comic baddies. While I certainly wanted him to be a more central role in the story, he was primarily a plot device to move the story along in the direction it needed. His scene at the end with the Black Panther was one of the better ones in the movie I feel. It reminded me of the scene between Ultron and Vision at the end of AoU.

I would argue Zemo served the same role as Loki did in the original Avengers movie. We clearly understood his motives for his actions (revenge), he had some really good scenes in the movie, and he is able to be used again later if need be.

Crossbones on the other hand was wasted and was nothing more than a throw away villain. If I had one big complaint about the movie, it was the use of Crossbones.

Random thoughts: I will echo what others have said and Spidey & Black Panther were great, they had good screen time and made the best use of it.

I don't fully understand how Vision nearly killed Rhodes. I get that he said he was distracted, but that seems like a bit of a loose end that could have been handled better. Very minor detail though and someone here might be able to explain it. I might have missed a detail in the movie that answered it.

The reasons for the fights were great and made total sense.

The action scenes were really entertaining.

The humor, to me, did not seem forced. It broke up the darker parts of the film to give the audience a break, which also helped with pacing. The movie probably could have gone at a break-neck pace the entire time but putting lighter parts between the action scenes really helped.

I thought the movie did a great job of making you root against Tony without making him out to be a bad guy. I thought that was a key that would be extremely hard to carry over from the comics. What made Civil War so enjoyable for me was the fact that you could understand Iron Man's actions, but he always seemed to take them pass the limit that you could support him. Captain America's stubbornness made him wrong in a situation he was right. The movie did a great job of translating that to film.

Sorry for the long post, but I really enjoyed the movie and I want to see it again as soon as I can.

I just got out a couple of hours ago and I loved it.

Black Panther is a personal favorite of mine, so I was very curious to see how they would portray him. It was a slow build for him, but ultimately I loved the direction they took the character.

All of the characters were handled well overall. A great balance of humor, action, drama, and suspense.

I agree with the poster who said the final fight scene was intense and filled with rage and passion. For a second or two I really thought one of them might kill the other.

I loved the way they handled spider-man. I am looking forward to his stand alone movie now.

5 out of 5 stars for me.

Great movie. I think Winter Soldier was better, but this was pretty close.
