I think it was a great hire. Orgeron brought ya'll down. Nutt is a good coach, there was just too much booster involvement in Arkansas.

RNutt, the best thing I can say is that most LSU fans let out a panged groan when they heard the news of Nutt to Ole Miss. Nutt is a very good coach. Saban told Bertman to keep him on the LSU short list when he left. Said basically what most people think, "he gets the most out of what he has of anyone in the SEC."

apparently Snead and Mustain became friends at some football camp. Mustain called Snead and poor mouthed Nutt really really bad to him. Mustain advised Snead to not believe one word Nutt says.

Mustain looks like even more of punk.

I bet your fingers tripped over themselves trying to get to the keyboard fast enough to type that one.

I'll let the fact that you are quoting Trev Alberts speak for itself.

Nutty Butty is a good hire IMO. He only left Ar-Kansas because the fans, athletic dept, etc. treated him horribly. Don't underestimate him, I know we won't make that mistake!

nutt is not a good coach period. he may be better than coach 0, but who isn't?

ole miss will never win the west or the sec. they are way too far behind in recruiting, facilities, and fundraising.

the hogs got rid of nutt because they were tired of being mediocre. well they are now learning that in football or basketball, all the mnc's from the 1950's do not count. i think arkansas has more going for it than ole miss, but the next hire for them is crucial.

You're acting bitter... don't forget the Stoerner years. They will be fine.

Upgrade for Ole Miss

Thanks DC, who is still on the Arkansas board to be hired, or next in line?

Hell if I know... there was so much false info put out there that people ran with that I can't believe anything... and that includes the list of potential candidates.

The Stoerner was what 8 yrs ago?

I'll agree Nutt is an upgrade for Miss, but you really can't defend his inability to develop a modern offense since Stoerner left.

Carry on

Over the last 6 years, Arkansas averages scoring 30.5 points per game. In comparison, over that same time period, LSU averaged 31.6. I don't know how you define "modern", but his offenses are incredibly effective.

The Gus Bus will create a modern offense.
