No I can't. That is why in a previous post I said that the actions I have witnessed employees do are inexplicable. I am sorry that if I have offended you, but this news story is a perfect explanation of the mentality in this area. I am not saying I agree or disagree with a lot of the thoughts people have. What I do disagree with is the extent people will go to just to push their agenda here.

You didn't offend me, I was just genuinely curious why you feel this way. I don't see how you cannot have the same views in regards to Baton Rouge and New Orleans as well; I have lived in all three places for what it is worth. But again, I don't know specifically what you have heard or seen, just seems a bit novice to take that stance against an entire city(cities) based on this article. You came across as a bit triggered

If you lived here then you would know that this area is nothing like Baton Rouge and definitely not like New Orleans. I am not saying I have anything against either Shreveport or Bossier. I am saying that the way of thinking in these parts is very dated and in my line of work most with a strong emphasis on the word most of the people I deal with on a day to day basis are locals whose income level and social standing falls in line with the average of the city. So I feel that in my 3.5-4 years here I have had enough exposure to form an opinion.

Her sending the video to him is fine...him sending one to her is where he fricked up.
This has happened with two white kids together as well. It sucks and seems like bullshite. Somehow the race card didn't magically appear in the case I remember though.

I agree with the outrage about the fact that this young man is being put through this over a ridiculous interpretation of child pornography laws, but this statement is just fricking stupid...

So I sound like a liberal because I said that I live in Bossier and said that peoples ways of thinking here is bad enough that it holds them back for achieving what they are capable of?
We have employees that will tell a gm that they would prefer to not sell to a Coon. Regardless of my political stance that is outdated and unacceptable and also far too common in this area. I am not saying the whole town is that way but I can assure you that more than most realize is. Sorry that I like money more than my opinion on matters.

I have lived in Bossier for a cumulative ~20 years. And Shreveport is much more similar to BR and NOLA than it is to Bossier. Again, you haven't given any specifics, so I am just trying to understand what "mentality" and unhealthy way of living you are referring to.
I'm guessing you just feel like everyone is a blatant racist, and being in Bossier makes you feel like you just turned back the clock to 1960.

Why does it always seem like when you hear about some young guy getting charged for something like this, he happens to be of a different race than the girl? You never hear about Tyler facing a charge because he sent dick pix to Brittany. Or 17-year-old LaDarius getting in trouble for screwing 16-year-old Shaniqua.
