You are probably the only one who would.

Verne is the absolute worst. I would rather one of the women on ESPN or even Jim Hawthorne.

There aren't any sportscasters that I can't stand. I attribute this to my not being a miserable person.

Just gives lots of people a chance to hate on Nessler's replacement. I like Verne and Nessler, as well as most of the play-by-guys. Never understood why so many people hate various play-by-play guys and analysts.

I will not miss his Alabama favoritism: TOUCH-DOWN, AL-A-BAMA!! I don't care for Verne, but I like al-a-bama even less.

frick verne. Go youtube Eric Reid"s interception against bama and listen to what verne is yelling as it is happening. Now tell me how you feel about that fat miserable bastard.

I'll miss Verne too, but I have come to really link Nessie. He used to call mostly Big 10, or some other conference, and I didn't like him. Now that he's covering more SEC games, I've come to really enjoy his "..has 10, has 20..." calls.

I'll miss Verne. It's time to move on though. Nessler is a grade A talent though.

Awesome! About time.

I don't hate Verne but I can't stand how he makes no attempt to hide his favoritism, be it with UF when they had Tebow, Auburn when they had Newton, now his favoritism lies with Bama. If you, as a professional sports commentator have a favorite, so be it. But to a nationwide audience, seems to me the professional thing would be to keep that hidden or at least to a minimum and he doesn't do that, in my opinion.

He has a great voice as a commentator but that's where it ends for me. I don't wish anything bad on the guy at all, he just has always had some sort of axe to grind with LSU for some reason.

Danielson, on the other hand, I could listen to all the time. I love how he explains things. Blackledge is a close second to him.

Nessler is one of the best in the business.

Now if Gary Danielson would go find a rock to climb under and never come out order would be restored.
