Granted this is from 2014, but KD was hurt last year so it doesn't make much difference

quote:

The Oklahoma City Thunders’ Kevin Durant is clutch. No player in the playoffs has scored more points per game than Durant (5.1) in the last five minutes with the point differential five or less. His True Shooting Percentage — a measure of shooting efficiency that takes into account field goals, three-point field goals and free throws — is also through the roof at 63.5 percent in these situations (league average is 44.8 percent).

ok awesome....

Russ has once in a generation type, he is a stone cold killer on the court with the instincts to take no prisoners and sits up there with the likes of Jordan and Kobe in that attribute......

So yeah, you saying all that shite isn't a knock on KD. Russ would be the same exact player with ANYONE in the NBA on his team. Dude is an animal.

And back on the NBA, God I love the NBA playoffs. Games every night. Watching back to back solid squads battling it out from east to west

KD defers to westbrook, but that's why they also lose as many games in the 4th quarter as they have all season...

according to NBA miner:
"Clutch Time: During the 4th quarter or overtime, with less than five minutes remaining, and neither team ahead by more than five points"
shooting:
Westbrook: 38.9/20.0/91.3
Durant: 41.2/32.4/85.7
Curry: 44.2/38.1/91.8
Harden: 35.0/26.0/86.2
LBJ: 42.4/18.5/67.9
Thompson: 43.5/40.7/89.5
Davis: 59.6/41.7/78.8
Leonard: 43.2/30.0/89.5
CP3: 46.2/44.4/82.9

KD defers to westbrook,

Sometimes yea, but it's not like Westbrook is just some average point guard

And other times it's not KD deferring as much as it is Russ just jacking up a 3 or flying thru the paint. But that's what Russ does and like someone else said he would be doing the same with any other superstar on his team

ETA: and after looking thru NBAminer website, KD has taken considerably more shots that Russ in "clutch" time over the years

Has there always been FT shooters as bad as Jordan Drummond in the NBA?
