I feel the same way about regular Blanton's. I swore up and down that it was the worst whisky I have ever had until I tasted a good barrel. The variations are extreme. I think it's a function of the quick aging process in warehouse H, some of the barrels are cooked, some aren't aged long enough and some are just right.

I bought to make Rusty Nails. I didn't want to use higher end for those.
It was the same price as JW Red. It is pretty good for the price. Very light.
Should do well with the Drambuie.

thats a new one to me Jax but sounds pretty interesting...
