I've had people tell me that it's a fault of mine. I want to be as honest and thorough and cover my bases and a few people have been super impatient about it.

Well, if you're honest to the point of hurting people's feelings, then yeah, that may be too honest.

Like if your friend has a really ugly baby, that may be something you should keep to yourself.

Not every situation needs every detail stated.

You'll never get laid that way. Jesus, loosen up, smoke a lot of weed and start telling some lies for frick's sake, join the human race.

Yes, like when your girlfriend asks you where have you been? Hell no you don't give them the full truth.

Yes. People don't want to be lied to, but they don't always want the whole truth. Any man who's ever been in a long term relationship knows this.

Don't tell her her butt is big, and she won't tell you your dick is small.

Learn to lie. Live long and prosper.

Doesn't sound like you're too honest. There are places that give the same cups out for soft drinks and water, and I wouldn't feel right if I said I'd be having water and got Coke. Pisses me off when people do that with glasses that are clearly for water. If they give the same cups, then the restaurant is just dumb, but I'll still pay.

That's s polite way of saying "I don't give a shite what you think--stop voicing your ridiculous opinions to me"

Yes. Come on, man. If you are socially aware at all then you know there are times to keep your mouth shut or try to be tactful in responses. People who say they have problems with being "too honest" are actually assholes who can't keep their opinions to themselves and usually convey their opinions in a condescending manner. They're also typically not near as smart as they think they are and lack humility.

e.g. The person or people who told you that you are "too honest" are actually trying to tactfully convey this to you, but you are too obtuse to pick up on it.

Yes. There is certainly such thing as being too honest. I've done it. It is a sin to lie but you just have to figure out how to not lie without being completely honest. It takes some time.
