I ran into an old episode of Howard Stern on youtube the other day and Goodman was the guest. Apparently he married a girl from New Orleans and moved down that way. I've never really cared about Hollywood types much but I've always liked John. Has anyone met him? I'm curious as to what he is like.

All I've heard is that he's a huge prick.

I met him once a few years back. Really nice guy.

He played in an old boys rugby match with the St Louis Bombers.

Had a meal at a table next to him once at The Galley on Met Rd. He seemed nice enough and didn't seem too bothered by a few people that walked up to him. This was a little over a year ago.

Have a decent John Goodman story that doesn't involve me.

Had a buddy taking a long drunk piss in a portapotty at Mardi Gras on St. Charles.

Anyways, someone was beating on the door that they had to go now. He was yelling back to chill out. Eventually when he opens the door it was Goodman, who rushed in there and slammed the door.

I wasn't there, but there were other witnesses. This was circa 2006ish...

Spent some time in a suite next to him at the Royal Sonesta one Mardi Gras. The guy was completely out of control snorting lines of coke the size of a ruler. We thought he was going to die any moment.

Hung out with him in a little dive drinking and eating. Pretty much was a huge arse slob like he always has been up until recently with all his weight loss. Seemed cool as shite and no not a prick at all.

I think he lives on the northshore somewhere. I met him years ago when they filmed Everybody's All American in BR and he was a nice guy.

I had a buddy in high school who claimed to be his neighbor in Madisonville right by the river. I never knew if he was bullshitting me or not, FWIW.

I've heard good and bad.I think he's just really moody given his level of intoxication.

Was in a donut/coffee shop in Old Metry one morning, back '00-ish and he walked in. He's a large man.

I met him while they were filming the movie. About ten years ago he was in the Crown Romm at the ATL airport and I introduced myself and told him I had met him previously. We drank several draft beers and talked about LSU.

He lived in Old Metairie and I would see him around at different stores and restaurants and the city park driving range. He was always nice, but I don't know him other than just small talk.
I don't know if he still lives in Old Metairie or not.

He was drunk and/or high and rear ended a station wagon in front of my house on fountainbleau

Ronnie Lamarque showed up and whisked he and his lady friend in a brand new Mercedes...a few months later he was doing radio commercials for the NOPD. Never charged

I tried talking to him (there were no cops yet and he looked like he was about to collapse)because he was literally standing in front of my house and he couldn't string two sentences together.

Just another daily reminder the NOPD is full of pieces of shite
