By the smallest of margins on only one angle.

No way did I think that was in at first.

WOOOOOOO!!!!!!

AMERICAN HERO, TJ OSHIE!!!! WOOOOO!!!!

OK, the Caps were lucky as hell to win this one. The Pens were the better team for most of the game, and the Caps managed to win because Holtby is a lot better than Murray. Murray was good, but he let in a softie while Holtby was his usual self. Caps can't play like this again and expect to win.

I felt the Caps got sucked into trading chances with the Pens, which is fun to watch, but not the Caps' game. Need more cycle, more possession, and less mistakes in their own zone. Orlov gifted the Pens a goal, and found himself stapled to the bench. But the Caps backcheck had a real problem clearing the puck all game (except the 4th line, which was awesome against the Malkin line all night). Oh, and Ovi can't miss three sure goals again. That was.... not good. He had three grade A chances, and 0 goals.

And Tom Wilson needs to be suspended. That knee on knee hit was some bullshite. Don't do that. Dirty hit, sit him down.

Sucks I missed such a great game due to the draft. The Penguins and Caps will definitely be one of the better series in the Stanley Cup.

Sportscenter was saying the Caps defense was just off and their communication was bad. Still won the game.

Sounds like it was a hell of a gsme. Always like watching Crosby play.

I am still pumped this morning, was at the game last night and loved seeing the Pittsburgh fans cry.

For me personally, this is the first time I have been at a playoff game where we won in OT. I have a trail of tears from OT losses in person.

2011- TB defeats Caps 3-2
2009 - Pit beats Caps 4-3
2008 - Phil beats Caps in OT 2-1 to win game 7
2003 - TB beats Caps 2-1 in either the 2nd or 3rd OT due to too many men on the ice
1998 - Boston beats Caps 4-3 in OT
1996 - Pit wins 3-2
1993 - Islanders win 4-3

And Easter Heartbreak

Wait. Were you at the Peter Nedved game?

Oh, and I love watching Crosby play, but mainly when he is posting a -3 rating. Backstrom, baby. Mean Lars showed up.

One of the few players in sports that I actually hate. Can't wait til he retires.

All of it...the Penguins losses I am so numb to. The Islanders loss was more heartbreaking to me.

I was a season ticket holder for many years, and gave them up this year when the price just got too much and my account rep sucked.

So I am hoping that by me giving them up and having to scramble for tickets will reverse all of this

But I cannot lie, I had that oh sh!t, here we go again last night. All those early opportunities in OT and we did not cash in, and I am like typical. And then it happened.

The one thing I really liked last night was our hitting. I was 10 rows off the ice so not sure what the TV was showing, but we were finishing our hits and playing the heavy game. It is going to wear on them. If we can get another win in game 2 and keep grinding, I will get my hopes up to be crushed again.

NY Rangers Eulogy

As one of the few resident Rangers fans on this board, I can say this article is too kind. This just wasn't the year. I think they underestimated the effort required to replace Carl Hagelin, who is still playing.

This year made me hate this team more than I liked them. Habs fans is this a common side effect of a team coached by AV?

Go Perds for the rest of the playoffs......

Thames cheap shots and then won't stand up for himself. I think he's a dirty player, not as bad as some of these goons, and no one ever calls him out for it.
