Yes, I honestly feel like one of the most compelling arguments for why Franks was not the answer is because he is the one that Miles and Cameron wanted.

Sad but true, IMO.

Those who know me heard me say Patterson was highly more likely to be a kid that could step in and make an immediate impact, and is definitely a long term answer.

I could see what Miles and Cameron liked in Franks. His highlight films rarely if ever can follow the ball throughout the play because it leaves the screen and re-enters w ice on it. This fits in perfectly with our deep pass/punt philosophy.

Haskins is probably gonna win the Heisman at osu and we recruited franks instead.

He looked like a LSU QB.

Says something about the QBs that we recruit under Les. Next year our head coach going to be a QB guru though.

Is anyone else concerned that he was so highly recruited by Miles and Cam?

You're exactly right our coaching staff always recruit QBs with potential. That equals piss poor QB play every year!!!

Wrong board. Who cares? He backed out and left LSU high and dry after promising over and over he was comming here.

They prioritize potential over accuracy and polish which is why we are so terrible all the time. Cannon arms over guys with touch, a quick release, and good decision making.

The coaches selling him on playing early were straight lying to him.

those lies are pretty despicable. him believing it is really sad

kid could have sat and developed into a great college QB with pro potential but it looks like his career may never get off the ground

He's Jeremy Johnson 2.0

Remember, this coaching staff wanted Jeremy bad at one point too. Maybe it's best that they had to think outside of their box to find someone.

Ummm LSU is not a stepping stone for any coach.
We were a stepping stone for a stepping stone for Saban. Could have been worse. We could have been Mich St.

And LSU is either a one, or two, year stepping stone for Aranda.

bull. Aranda has to prove himself at LSU before moving up. the SEC is a tough place to do it albeit a profitable one. his next step is HC at a mid major and if that works out a HC at a big school. he very well could be a DC at LSU for several more years; and really what do you expect from a quality coordinator?

Flip would have gotten early playing time at LSU there is no lie there! He would have been our miserable starter in 2017!
