5/13 for 58 yards with three interceptions.
Those are Jennings type stats.

What people forget to realize about Frank's was the level of competition he was playing out here was terrible. Wakulla high school is in the middle of the sticks. All this lead to a player with all the physical attributes but lack of mental and football aspects of being great. Maybe one day but I don't see it

bull. Aranda has to prove himself at LSU before moving up. the SEC is a tough place to do it albeit a profitable one. his next step is HC at a mid major and if that works out a HC at a big school. he very well could be a DC at LSU for several more years; and really what do you expect from a quality coordinator?
i agree with you but not with the idiot that thinks its just a stepping stone. He could do what you stated or he could take the path that Kirby Smart and stay at a place for 7 years plus and prove his dominance and jump to a elite team as a Head Coach

I think it's kind of like the snowball effect. Something starts small then gains momentum until it's out of control. What was the original snowball? I'm not sure who, but a guy like flacco is a good example. He's got all the physical tools and was coached up to be a star. Now everyone wants these diamond in the rough type of players. They aren't even really viewed as projects by most, instead they are 5 stars. Everyone wants the next big developer. The problem is for every flacco, there's 1000 duds.
So glad we got Scott. Serendipity.

Kid made the right decision not going to LSU. He probably knows his limitations and realized that LSU's record in developing QB's is sad. Going to LSU with the expectations that this fan base has would have been career suicide. I'm sure he witnessed the last couple of years and did not want to be that guy with the deer in the headlights look with no one to help him! I only wish him luck and hope that he is successful. Be real people.

Florida has not done too hot at developing QB's themselves... How did 5 star Jeff Driskell and 4 star Treon Harris work out?

So glad he avoided that deer in the headlights look he would have had at lsu, right?

It's funny that these comments get downvoted the deeper we get into the offseason. But you're obviously right. LSU has had a bad track record since 2008 with an anomaly year or 2 with Mett. Overall it's been frustrating as hell to watch and I think we can all agree.
I do expect Harris to make leaps this year though.

Ever thought that maybe Aranda is the head coach in waiting when Miles retires??

McElwain has been there one year. I can't believe he didn't develop a qb that transferred to LA tech. He did get a noodle armed Colorado State qb drafted in the third round.

He was always a project and never should have been ranked as high as he was during recruiting. Haskins and Patterson were 2x the QB that Franks was and still are. Franks was terrible at the elite 11 this past year.
Be that as it may, pretty much every source in attendance when Patterson and Franks were both on campus said Franks outperformed him hands down. I think that is why we stuck with him, and the rest is history.

Scott would eat Franks lunch.
The fact that Scott will hopefully not have to play for at least 2 years is awesome. I honestly think he will be a formidable QB when his time comes. Smart kid, super athletic, and truly wanted to be a Tiger and get the ball to his playmakers. His video after he committed made me really like him; I've never seen a kid sign with a major school and just gush about all the other players that will be around him. I don't think he will have the curve to overcome that Harris has struggled with trying to do everything himself.
So yeah, it sucks to miss on a kid that was committed for years, especially a 5 star, but at the end of the day, I don't think we are in any worse of a situation without him.

Or Muschamp, or Mahlzahn...I think Aranda took this job with the expectation that he will be an SEC HC if he builds on the success he has already had.

Franks did not come to LSU. He went to Florida so before you go blaming Miles remember that he was recruited by Jim McIlwayne of Florida and went there. There were many schools who recruited Franks so how is this a Miles situation?
