This is what I don't get about purest of baseball. It is not ok to show up a pitcher after you won the at bat and hit a home run but perfectly acceptable to ear hole that guy the next at bat and possibly injure him.

I liked college baseball a lot more before they made players use nerf bats

I still like college and the pros but I really like baseball. The bats in the 90's weren't baseball and the way it was before the new balls last year weren't baseball. They are close now but still need to make it a little more offensive.

And that pitcher would have got the shite kicked out of him.

I will never understand the old farts that want pitchers to bean the players. It's one thing to go inside, it's another to purposely throw a baseball at a batter.

Bryce Harper would have tried to show up Bob Gibson or Don Drysdale after a HR, he'd have gotten a fastball in the ear his next AB.

Gibson and Drysdale; damn I miss pitchers like them. they were fricking animals.

I just generally prefer college sports over professional sports for multiple reasons. My best friend's family founded the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers, so I follow them. Otherwise, I much prefer the passion, history and tradition of college sports.

The bats we have in college must be ok now. Vandy's leadoff hitter who went yak the first at bat of the game is 5' 5" 150

College baseball, on the other hand, have players that work their arses off and it shows

@ you if you think professionals don't work their tails off to 1) to even make it to the show and 2) perfect their craft.

College baseball doesn't even compare to MLB.

And then Gibson would have been ejected and Harper would get first base.

It's kind of like trying to kill a man and actually killing a man. Neither is okay, but the latter one is okay if the dead guy tried the former first. Do you really not get this?

Jared Foster was a notorious bat flipper.

I remember LSU's 2001 team, Skip's last being one of the biggest collection of hot dogs I'd ever seen. Lot's of bat flipping, profiling and slow trots around the bases.

I think Skip brought in a bunch of mercenaries to try to go out on top, but I think he went over the top with that and couldn't reel that collection of prima donnas in.

Yep, all that for me too. I like LSU baseball because there's noting like it or even close in the rest of the genre. But honestly, I am not the least bit interested in watching a pitch of any other college game. No. 1 and No. 2 in college baseball could be playing today and if one of 'em ain't LSU I would have no interest at all in even watching one pitch.

It's more like the first man beat the second guy at some kind of head to head competition and gloated about it too much for the second guy so he decided to beat him with an inanimate object.

Just like college football! I detest the Saints(Tom Benson) and the NFL with the MONEY involved and all the watering down rules changes. BTW, ever notice all college baseball players actually speak English?
