Never show off your guns to a group.

Guns are currency. Great way to get robbed is to let word get out about what you have.

Firstly, you said you all were discreet about it. Apparently y'all were not discreet about it because everyone became aware of it. Secondly when people hear or read stories about people getting shot with a gun someone was handling, the handlers almost always said they thought it was unloaded.

Based on his use, he doesn't seem to know what discrete means. He probably meant that they weren't being obnoxious and unsafe by waving the guns around.

And of course I made sure it wasn't loaded .....

I have self discipline, unlike a majority of people.

Cleaning, maintenance, modification, dry-fire exercises, etc. You'll never understand because you'll probably never have the education.

This prove some people just have an irrational fear of guns. Ever use a knife to serve food after having a glass of wine? That knifes us more likely to kill someone at that particular moment than the guns. Accidents do happen and all but I mean... Come on.

Plus fantasies of fighting against the Federal government are just not the same without holding your weapons.

Discrete, as in we were just kind of huddled over by his safe looking at them with barrels down the whole time. We weren't showing them off or working the bolt or anything like that.

You can not use the word "discrete" when it comes to handling an AK-47. Next to a bazooka, it may be the least discrete firearm there is. Everyone knows what one looks like, and we've been trained that whenever we see one of those, some seriously bad shite is going to follow. If I caught my buddies handling an AK-47 at the corner of my eye when we'd been drinking, I'd have some serious follow-up questions and at least be somewhat shocked by this. I'd then be even more surprised when I found out this idiot kept his gun safe in his living room.

I am amazed at the level of estrogen in this thread. Glad my baws know how to handle their booze and guns together.

To be fair, I doubt that anyone is going to rob someone when they know that they have an AK-47.

OP, I do agree that most people have an irrational fear of guns. I wouldn't have any issue with what y'all did- if I knew and trusted all of you. If I don't know who is handling the weapon, I tend to be more vigilant. If I know that individual is competent with firearms, I don't care what they do with them.
The pussification is real. Some of the comments here regarding guns and guns and alcohol are pathetic.

I try not to mix alcohol and firearms. That being said, I also dry into 3 buckets filled with sand so I can get the slide off to clean it.

It blows my mind how often I watch someone examine another person's firearm without checking to see if it's loaded.

This is why I've held off on commenting. Pulling guns out in front of a close group of friends is one thing, doing it with casual acquaintances is something else entirely. OP hasn't really clarified how well these people know each other so I'm withholding judgement.
