Higher than the national average yes, but it's all relative to cost of living. $15 in urban parts of Cali would be like $10 in Louisiana. It's really not that outrageous.

It is outrageous when you consider that in a capitalist market such as ours, we are forcing businesses to pay someone a wage that a panel deems acceptable rather than what the market dictates is acceptable for that person's skillset. There should be no minimum wage, period.
Also, people like you are the reason that this country is going to shite. Thanks a lot.

Unless you are a small business owner. It won't affect the rich, and it won't help the poor; but middle class small business owners will really be hit.
