I would suggest you wait to see how the pregnancy and delivery goes. My wife and I discussed with her OB that in the event of a c-section we would get er tubes tied, otherwise I was having the vasectomy.
We ended up with her tubes tied and it was a very quick procedure post section.

If you're so hell bent on getting it reversed before you even get one don't do it yet.
tell her to get an IUD. Paragaurd is good for up to 10 years it can be taken out whenever.

Raising kids is very expensive. My advice is stop at two. They will be gone and you will still be young enough to enjoy life. You do not want to be older dealing with teenage crap. Take it from me. If you want more than two and can afford it, do it now, but prepare your bank account.

We have two kids and I got a vasectomy 5 years ago.
In the past year or two, we both had a slight interest in having another kid but they were just thoughts
I wouldn't hate it but I don't have the urge to go through the cost and complication of a reversal.
I figure this way I'll get to retire a few years earlier hopefully

I had a buddy of mine lose his wife on the operating table because he was so adamant that he wasn't getting it done. I'm sure when his kids get a couple years older that's gonna be a fun conversation. Be a man and be responsible and get it done.

Do it. I had the local anesthetic and was in and it of the office in 20 minutes. Did it on a Friday and was at work on the Monday. You'll be glad you did.

I call bullshite. She may have died from some complications associated with pregnancy but getting her tubes tied was not the cause of death.
