Why is no big-money boosters trying to buy out the basketball coach contract

You had these big money boosters willing to pay 20,000,000+ to bring in a coach, and fire a coach Who went to the national championship game twice and won one. Now you have a basketball coach who quit and embarrassed the University, probably caused irreversible damage as long as he's here. You hear nothing about A buyout. Does the boosters get a return on their investment from the football program? Does basketball not produce enough revenue to put out the millions of dollars for a buyout?
Im a LSU fan through and through from the football team to the golf team. I want LSU to succeed as a university in whole, and if I had that kind of money to put up to fire one of the most successful coaches in the LSU history, because of an embarrassing November. I would be way more concerned about the product that was put on the hardwood this season, and the blackeye the program is getting from the national media, because of what happened at the end of the year.

Hopefully they realize the odds of winning the powerball are higher than Johnny advancing in the NCAAs

Apparently nobody with that kind of $ cares about basketball.

That's an easy one. We haven't been shite in the sport since the Dale Brown years.

Are you chipping in? If not, STFU about buying shite out.

A big basketball booster isn't going to do something that Dale Brown opposes. It wouldn't be much fun at basketball events if the program's most influential person hates your guts.

Big money boosters don't care about basketball.

Maybe they know an allegedly super player just went through the motions in 2016.

Because LSU is a football & baseball school, been that way for a while now, since Daddy Dale left & Skip brought the baseball program to the top.

I think the big time basketball boosters are made up largely of holdovers from the Dale era. I know of at least a couple who are anyway.
There's some loyalty to that regime. The same loyalty that got us in this predicament.
I think some of the others brought their loyalties and $ over to baseball.

No one really cares about basketball

IMO, pretty simple that buying him out isn't going to make a huge difference in the coach that we bring in. This isn't football, which is a powerhouse program. LSU basketball is living in the past, top-tier caliber coaches aren't stepping down from their jobs to run to LSU.
