I talked to Ike, the owner of the company who rents out the "tent spots" in front of Phoenix X, earlier today. It's $100 per spot and it's a 15 x 15 spot. They have a special permit with the city for Mullet Toss so if you reserve a spot with them, you can leave your tent and table out over night from Thursday to Sunday and security will be monitoring that no one fricks with it. Each guest at Phoenix X will get a bracelet when they check in their condo and that bracket let's them walk around the fenced in area. However, it does not let you set up a tent. You must pay the $100 to set up a tent.

For non-Phoenix X guests, the bracelet to walk around the fenced in area is $5.

Is that 100 a daily fee or does it cover the entire weekend

It's the whole weekend. Your spot will be available Thursday around lunch time and you will have it through Sunday.

Yeah I can imagine. Hell it wore me out carrying an ice chest and a few chairs at the end of the day.

It's basically pointless bringing your own music down there when you have the walkons tent blasting their music.

Yeah I reserved our spot today and they ask if you have a preference of where you would like your spot to be inside the fenced area so they can try and get you as close to that spot as possible.

Carson, you got my email?

Yeah we brought our music setup one time and it was pointless so now we just bring a LSU tent, chairs, a shot ski, a table, and some ice chests.

Bump! T-minus 6 days!

We will be getting to Phoenix X around noon on Thursday and will be setting up our LSU tent in our reserved spot. I wonder if Ike's will let all of us TDers set up next to each other. I can call and ask them.

If you paid for a reserved spot outside of Phoenix X, email me at jac1280@gmail.com and we can exchange info so I can call Ike's.

I'm a rookie when it comes to in-game threads, but I am sure we can arrange to get one going for the OT.

What the frick. I never got that email about reserving spots and I've been trying to figure out what the hell we're going to do. I even called Brett-Robinson yesterday afternoon after I got the email about them taking stuff off the beach at night and specifically asked about it. Was not told anything by the super-helpful BR rep. I'm calling them first thing in the morning to try and reserve a few spots if they still have any left. Goddammit, they have completely screwed it up this year with all of this ridiculous shite. The first come/first serve has worked perfectly fine for every year we've gone. I've had this booked for months and to just now be hearing about this makes me furious.

Do you want the number for Ike's? They are the company who is renting out the spots.
