EBR board is probably talking about it now. They'll rule before the end of the night.
Same at LSU/BRCC.
There's never been a situation where all the surrounding parishes close down and BR doesnt. I can't remember one.

Because there is a marginal threat of severe storms in south LA. People acting like we have never had a risk of storms before
My guess is because the storms are prime to hit around 3 so it could cause a huge mess
Edit: if Louisiana is half as trashy as the OT believes it to be, lawsuits would be hanging out the arse if someone got hurt due to having to go to school in severe weather

EBR always last to close, as if they're trying to give the illusion of more careful deliberation.

Following the hurricanes in the 00's and the icy winters that came more recently, schools built a few extra "weather days" into their schedules beyond what is required. They made it through hurricane season, and the winter has been very mild. May as well burn one. You can't take them with you.

what are the odds LSU closes? I am currently working on a ton of homework that I don't need to be doing if we close.

I remember the last time there was a possible storm closure the OT called us lazy fricks for not wanting to go to class
