Any feedback from the OT ballers? I've never flown the a380 so considering Emirates for that reason but Singapore is rated higher online.

Can't go wrong with either. Singapore is a star alliance partner so at least you get points.

Both airlines are top notch. The only airline that MIGHT be a little better is Etihad, but at that level, it's all a wash...more like personal preference.

You should ask this question on the Money Board in the Credit Cards Rewards and Points Discussion Thread. Those are the people that have experience with these types of flights.

If you are flying from SFO it seems like Singapore would give you a more direct routing and I'd imagine the service difference would be almost negligible. Not to mention, Singapore rates very highly. So higher rating and best route seems to make this easy right?

considering Emirates
Emirates (EK) flight crews work sleep-deprived schedules that would be illegal at any US or European carrier.

Their crews have complained on professional pilots' forums about it for years. Stay away from Middle Eastern carriers if you value safety.

Emirates is solid, but Singapore is great...honorable mention to Korean air and British airways

Singapore Airlines FTW

I was told by a SA Flight Attendant that the differing patterns (see below) denote ranks or different duties.

I was not particularly interested in that factoid at the moment, and I haven't corroborated it since.

A SA spec'd A380 is not a bad craft to travel aboard.
