I was watching highlights from the 2005 all star game and man what a tandem that would've been. I know both of them love isolation but I think they would've come to an agreement because of
how bad they wanted a championship. Put prime AI in Kyrie's place on this years Cleveland team and they are unquestionably the 2nd best team in the NBA (probably greatest tandem of all time next to Kobe and Shaq) and probably give the Warriors more of a battle. Lebron would have been able to share with AI. He's one of the most unselfish superstars to have played the game.
AI on the otherhand would not have returned the favor. Just lke him and Melo never worked. Neither would he and LeBron.

I figured this would be a criticism but you really can't compare Melo to LBJ. Melo is a pure scorer and probably not as basketball smart as LBJ. When AI and Melo played together there offense was actually legit, there defense was terrible. It didn't help that AI was on the decline.

Going back to '98 the best player or top 3 best in the NBA has won the all star mvp every year, with a few outliers. So yea, you are right, just ask Kobe.
