If my SO would be on board with this I'd sail off into the sunset. How can anyone be proud to say they live here anymore? This place is fricked. I just wanna go to Colorado and toke up.

Seriously though, if she'd be on board I'd start getting my shite together TODAY. I'm just fed up with politicians ruining our state and country.

They don't have TOPS in other states. Good luck.

I've considered it. I may still. Texas is just so much more appealing than what the idiots in this state have made it.

A) I know i could get a good job there
B) I know my wife could get a good job there

The only thing keeping me here is we have family and friends. We have a 1.5 year old, and plan to have another baby by next year, and having grandparents close is invaluable.

My wife and I are native Louisianians. We own a little land, actually two 4X8 plots, and we want to move back home to reconnect with old friends and be closer to her family. Appears we might want to table that idea for a while?

I had a chance to move back to Louisiana recently. Chose Florida instead. There's a lot I like about Louisiana but it's not the center of the universe, there is a lot to see in this country and world. Life should be an adventure.

Cue a thread full of pointless, empty threats. You want to leave, leave. Over a $2,500 annual TOPS benefit that we can't afford and other states don't have either?

Go on over to Texas, I hear oil is still $80/bbl over there.

Government action has much less to do with how your life turns out than you do.

If you wait around for the government to do something to save you, you wasted a lot of time.

Live your life and quit worrying about the damn government.

Why live in LA when there are so many better states?

I left LA right after breaking up with someone, figured that if I stuck around I'd be running the risk of getting settled down in a place I didn't want to be. It worked out great, get out while you can.

My gf, now wife, and I moved to San Francisco after LSU. Stayed for a couple of years, got engaged, then moved back. It was nice and all, just really expensive. I think everyone should move away at some point.

I lived in Co, Telluride, for a summer in college, and I just remember working a bunch.
