Call Dr Bond in Laffy. Stem cell repair NO surgery. Look up Regenexx! Remember when stars like Kobe would fly to Europe...this is that procedure

I have some torn cartilage in the same knee I had a meniscus tear and surgery on 4 1/2 years ago so I checked out Regenex. It looks promising, no guarantee though, and really expensive. I know of no insurance that covers it. It will cost 7-12k out the chute depending on what is done.

When I had my meniscus repaired I was off crutches in 5 days. My knee was swollen for several weeks and should have been down in a few days. Found out later that the doc did PRP (platelet-rich plasma) on me which caused the extended swelling. Not sure if it helped but my knee was much better until two months ago when I hurt it again. Looks like another scope for me. BTW, a friend had a meniscus repair and he was up and at them in less than a week and full recovery, per him, in less than two months. In any case, good luck.

I rip both. On my right, it was scoped and was back on my feet in 10 days. Left side, I just worked it out and it took about three months till the pain when away. That was about 7 years ago and I was told that I would need knee replacement within 5 years.

And yes, now both knees are giving me trouble/pain if a bend down a lot. It's to the point if I bend down, I just have to get on my knees.

Repair or cleaned out/clipped? No way a true repair and being off of crutches in 5 days.

The cost is down to about 5k now and you walk out. The difference is no surgery and you still have your body. Once the start snipping pieces of your meniscus, it will never be the same later in life.
The stats now for knees is about 85% positive results 3 yrs out from the procedure.
As data mounts on the long term damage of the steroid shots into a joint, the regenex procedure is a better first option IMO when you add up all the costs.
I was SCHEDULED to have a hip replacement, but I had full range of motion....I now am pain free and have my joint!
