Cam Newton was absolutely horrible. He brought nothing but turnovers tonight. I don't know if it was the worst performance ever but I think it ranks right up there.

Cam was embarrassingly bad. His poor performance was only amplified by his complete lack of effort.

Dude there have been 49 other fricking super bowls. Not everything about this game is the best/worst.

Mike Remmers his RT has 2 holds, 2 false starts and the right side has 4 Sacks , 2 forced fumbles 1 for a TD

Cam deserves some blame but no QB could have survived that

His numbers are very similar to Elway's numbers against the Packers in '97.

Elway 12-22, 123 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT
Manning 13-23, 141 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT

To me the passing yards don't matter. Cam means everything to his team. He makes big plays on the ground and we saw none of that tonight. He seemed scared and he quit on his team when he wouldn't go after that last fumble. Historically bad performance in my book.

That Denver D is just nasty. I thought maybe the game against New England a couple weeks ago was them playing out of their mind, but it's definitely legit. Cam's a big dude but he was taken to the woodshed tonight. You would be hard pressed to find any qb to have success against that pressure.

As bad as Cam was, it wasn't even in top 10 worst QB performances in a Super Bowl.

There have been some epicly bad ones, particularly in the blowout losses.

It's got to be up there, I can't remember a Super Bowl QB being worse than Manning. I'm sure there has been though back in the day.

Ya know.

I've become convinced that the typical fan is wholly unaware that the defense plays the game too.

I was backing Denver, but for crying out loud, can you people remember that just two weeks ago they made Brady look pedestrian?

They've made A LOT of QBs look pedestrian.

This shite ain't Madden. If the QB is under constant duress, their game is going to be affected.

Hell. Brady and the gang were UNSTOPPABLE their undefeated year that took a thud against the Giants. Then, suddenly, they bumped into a team that put constant up the middle pressure and viola', Brady couldn't do much.

They pay the defensive players too ya know.
