I have killed 6 deer on that property over the years. I just sneak on with a climbing stand.

It's loaded with deer because they have no where to go.

The Duplantiers owned that. Pretty sure the guy that killed them lived in a barn house on that property.

P&A liability. My understanding is the wells need mucho money to abandon them right. Probably wont be developed for a long time.

i love the description for freds on the map.

they had cattle on it in the early 2000s. I used to live in a corner apartment in oakbrook and we would sometimes cut through the field on the way home from tigerland. maybe 100 head on the property at that time

The fire department is currently trying to place a station on Burbank but the road is under the 100 year flood level.

At this point, I'm all for retaining as much green space and undeveloped near campus as possible. Traffic and overcrowding are already problematic. We don't need to further these issues before they bother to widen Nicholson.

That is not really close to campus at all.

you must be thinking of another area. that is a huge piece of land that is very close to campus.

Yep, I was thinking of Bluebonnet and Nicholson, which is also a huge piece of empty land. I retract my earlier statement. My house is not on that map.

This. The area is home to University Field - still actively producing oil from multiple wells on the property.

I highly doubt that property would be sold by the estate anytime soon if its still producing, regardless of oil prices.

Used to be prime mushroom territory when it was grazed. Lots of LSU students harvested some good times from that property.
