The fact that LSU wants him should tell you all you need to know concerning their confidence in BH

Bullfrickinngshit. They've got depth if they were happy. If he's a one snd done he's not coming here to ride the bench. Some people are so dense

You're completely talking out of your arse and sound like a fricking retard. It doesn't take a psychic to see Jennings is a transfer risk and LSU is likely left with one guy who has ever taken an SEC snap. This is a depth move pure and simple, and it likely doesn't even matter because this kid is going to aTm. Sit down and let the adults talk.

So getting a new QB will help?

Yes. Getting a QB should work wonders as that's generally the most important piece of the offensive puzzle

If they had any confidence in BH they wouldn't be pursuing all of these qb transfers. Like it or not that's the way it is

That's a load of shite. Ohio State won a natty because they had not one but three capable QBs. You have to be prepared for guys to get hurt and not have it ruin your season. If the guy you bring in for depth challenges your starter then that's icing on the cake.

Knight isn't going anywhere that he'll sit. If he comes here, he's starting.

I don't think he comes here but yeah, this doesn't exactly scream confidence in the incumbent.

A qb who isn't that great, but has shown he can make some big plays in big games, looks like he's got it in him but I don't know if he can ever be consistent enough. Decent running threat. Kind of similar to Harris. Honestly think Harris is a bit better but who knows.

Ok genius, mosey on over to the recruiting board and read the article that says LSU is behind aTm for him because LSU won't guarantee him anything more than a backup role with his one year left. Try doing even a tiny bit of homework before you make huge assumptions about something you obviously don't understand.

100% true and the reason he isn't coming here. LSU has gauged interest for exactly why I said, depth, and when they won't sugar coat it for him he'll pick aTm. Harris is your starter unless Etling lights it up in the spring.

Why you blithering idiot. Of course they can't guarantee him a starting role.

The dude threw for 340+ and 4 TDs against Saban's D as a freshman in their W against Bama in the Sugar Bowl. That Bama team was a hair away from playing in another NC.

I thought this guy was going to be awesome. I don't know what happened to him and we'd probably mess him up some more, but I'd take anyone that has torched a Bama D. We only scored 17 on that Bama team with Mett, OBJ, Landry and Hill.

I know A&M is in trouble right now but wouldn't he basically be a guarantee for the starter job there? Why would he even come here if he's got to fight for a job. Especially since he's only got 1 year. I know we're more of a contender but he's got a bigger shot at day one job there.

Would be a much bigger deal or ray of hope if LSU had a better track record of adapting the system/playcalling to the skills of the players running it.

Without that, I don't get the point of it all. If you can't teach a QB in 3yrs, how do you expect one to jump in and play right away.

I get your point, and agree with it. BUT... Sumlin has promised every QB he's recruited except the one that started their most recent game the starting role right away. Same thing to their 186 WRs.

so he would be a senior...hmmm

one and done deal

I don't know...

Harris is primed to be the guy next year, NO?

I wouldn't bother if he only has one year. LSU's offense requires three years of learning plus 2 years of apprenticeship. Then a QB can be productive, but that's only if there are two experienced elite WRs

yeah, i agree

and also he's not some elite force like a Cam that can come in and just wreck it up. i mean, not in my opinion.

even mettenberger took 3 years in the system like you said with elite NFL offensive talent all around him before they let him loose and he was a beast

I've seen his stats. I know he didn't do that well the following year and was terrible against Clemson in their bowl, but I've seen our guys' stats too. We've never had a QB complete 70% of his passes against Bama, throw for 340+ yards and 4 TDs while leading his team to a 14-point win against Bama. Maybe he's like a one-hit-wonder, but to do that against Bama, I'd still give him a look.
