+1 to the painted bunting. Seen them in here in south central Texas.

I will add green jay. Their flight path is San Antonio and westward, evidently.

Some "cardinal looking bird" on Oahu. It wasn't a cardinal but the colors exploded off that bird.

Yep. They're all over Hawai'i and i see them in my yard all the time looking for seeds/ worms

Painted Bunting. I was in my kitchen looking into my backyard.
