It was a bit suspicious from the get go because the box looked a little beat up. I opened it up and some things weren't packaged in such a way as a new console would typically be. For example, the batteries were just laid in there and not wrapped together.

It also had a copy of Halo 5 instead of Ori and the Blind Forest. This is actually a very nice surprise. The bundle I bought was supposed to just have Gears of War, Ori, and Rare Replay. None of the games were shrink-wrapped, and they all had finger prints on them.

The kicker is that when I hooked it up it still has the gamer tag of the previous owner loaded on there.

I'm thinking I should let this go as the inclusion of Halo 5 probably outweighs any minor issues with it being used. However, I'm wondering if this was a shipping error and someone else got royally screwed over. Amazon has excellent customer service, so I might give them a call in the morning to see what they want to do.

The copy of Halo isn't a reason to keep a used console.

Make them send you a new one.

How is this even up debate?

Amazon has the best customer service ever, call them, chances are they will tell you to send back the Xbox, and keep the games and they will send you the new Xbox.

Call Amazon and get a new one.

They don't have to know it came with Halo.

Contact them and tell them.

Are you a prime member? Most likely they will offer you a SIGNIFIGANT discount if you want to keep the product.

Hell, they may even send you a new one and let you keep the old one.

I emailed them about a sticking X button on my new Xbone and they gave me 30% off on the spot.

120$

Amazon will make it right

ETA:

Hmmmmmmmmmmm... You should counter their offer. Ask for a % off.

Mention the fingerprints and not new Xbox and batteries.

It's the seller that's the issue, likely not Amazon itself.
